SEIU State Endorsements Begin

The first SEIU state-level endorsements for the 2008 presidential race were announced Oct. 15th. Former Sen. John Edwards gained the backing of SEIU state councils in Iowa, California, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, Michigan, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, Ohio, and West Virginia. SEIU state councils in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, and Missouri endorsed Sen. Barack Obama.
